Indian cinema lost one more promising star after an upcoming actress from Bengali cinema apparently committed suicide.

Bidisha De Majumdar, a model-turned-actress was found hanging in her apartment in Kolkata’s Dum Dum area.

Police found the body of 21-year-old actress in a flat in Nagerbazar where she was living as a tenant for since four months.

On Wednesday when police entered her flat by breaking the door and found her hanging. The Barrackpore sent her body for postmortem at RG Kar hospital and have already opened an investigation into the case.

According to local media, the police alos found a suicide note form the flat

According to her friends, Bidisha had a boyfriend named Anubhab Bera and she was in depression due her relationship with him.

Bidisha made her acting debut in  a short film titled Bhaar- The Clown in 2021 which was directed by Anirbed Chattopadhyay.
