Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tie the nuptial knot at a private ceremony

Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married at private ceremony on Thursday. The marriage took place at Ranbir's Vastu residence in Pali Hill area of Mumbai.
Earlier in the day as the celebrations unfolded for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's wedding, several guests were seen swarming the wedding venue.
While Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor arrived with her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Shammi Kapoor's wife Neila Kapoor too was seen at the venue.
From the bride squad, her mom Soni Razdan, sister Shaheen Bhatt, dad Mahesh Bhatt and sister Pooja Bhatt were papped outside Ranbir's Pali Hill house.
Neila Devi, the Kapoor family matriarch and the last of Raj Kapoor's generation of the Kapoor family was clicked at the wedding venue.
She was seen arriving for the wedding ceremony along with her daughter Kanchan.
The mother-daughter duo were seen twinning in shades of green. Neila is the wife of Ranbir's uncle Shammi Kapoor, who passed away in 2011 shortly after starring with Ranbir in Imtiaz Ali's 2011 musical, 'Rockstar'. Neila and Shammi got married in 1969.
Ranbir Kapoor's brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan and his cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan made a style statement on Thursday as they twinned in baby pink for the ocassion.
Popularly called as 'Saifeena' by their fans, the husband-wife duo looked every inch royal in powder pink Indian attire. Kareena stunned in a saree embellished with silver while Saif looked dapper in a pink kurta paired with an ivory Nehru jacket and pyjamas.
Luv Ranjan, who is directing an untitled film with Ranbir and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, too was seen arriving in style for his actor friend's special day. Other guests who were seen attending the festivities included Shweta Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda and Ayan Mukerji.
As per reports, the Ambani family too has been invited for the function as the Ambanis' security officials were clicked outside Vastu residence. Reportedly, Yusuf - the security in charge for the wedding was heard telling paparazzi that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will come out for a picture around 7:00 pm on Thursday.
