Pakistan’s former pace bowler has finally put an old rumour of him running shirtless with Bollywood star Salman Khan in Bandra to the rest.

The rumour, which is more than a decade old, spread at the time when the ‘Rawalpindi Express’ was a member of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders in India Premier League (IPL).

Now the speedster has come up with the true story that led the media to go wild without confirming the facts.

According to Sportskeeda, an online sports portal, Akhtar said "we were at Bandra, myself, Katrina Kaif and Salman... Salman had asked me to eat with him before leaving. “

“And Salman being Salman, he can't see one thing - if your hands are empty, he'll give you a watch, if your shirt is dirty because of the party, he'll give you a new one. He just gave me one shirt that day, we had a similar size, and we were at his house only.”

“Then we ate and I returned to Lahore. Next morning I saw the news that 'Salman Khan and Shoaib Akhtar ran shirtless in Bandra.'"

But that's not all. Akhtar also went on to reveal that even SRK called the cricketer to ask  about the incident to which he said, "I told him no and that I was at Salman's house, he gave me his shirt because mine was dirty. That’s all this was fake news. No such incident happened where we raced shirtless or anything."

Akhtar hasn't visited India in recent times due to the ban on Pakistani artists. Recently, Akhtar went on to address the rumours and finally share details on what really happened.
