Melancholy has been an inspiration for many artists to come up with their masterpieces, from time immemorial.

The indescribable pain and agony that no words can do justice to, can only be displayed in an artist's creativity.

Similar is the case with Saja Moussa.

A young Palestinian artist, Saja, like many others in Gaza, lost her family home to airstrikes in the region.

She and her family helplessly watched her home being brought down to a rubble, leaving a painful lump in everyone's throat.

As she walks across the rubble, which was once her family home in Rafah refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip, Saja picks and chooses broken tiles for her artwork.

Using the tiles of her broken home as a canvas, the artist finds solace in making masterpieces.

The house was damaged last month during an 11-day war.
