American artist Alex Da Corte was assigned to do a site-specific art installation to be displayed at the exhibition at the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden.

The installation of a big blue bird sitting on the crescent of a moon is an absolute crowd pleaser.

bigbird2  "As Long as the Sun Lasts " is a 26-foot-tall (8-metre) sculpture featuring the Sesame Street character Big Bird.

The 26-foot-tall sculpture, which not only includes Sesame Streets character the Big Bird, but also Alexander Calder’s standing mobile, sits on the roof of NewYork's most iconic landmarks, and a spectacular treasure house, the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The talented artist, who has worked in a range of media, including painting, performance, sculptures and more, is one of the finest artists in the international art scene in recent times.

His delusion based art stands out among the work of other artists as he keeps aside logic and creates a symbolic display.
