Rare ‘Twilight’ scene goes viral after haunting fan on TikTok

Twilight

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are seen in a poster of Twilight.

A little over a decade ago, the first film in the Twilight saga hit the silver screen (this was well before the anxiety-filled, sunset days of the coronavirus).

The lovebirds in the film, both on and off screen, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, became an overnight sensation, the fantasy of millions of teeny-boppers not just in the UAE, but the world over.

Girls would just scream and let out whoops of delight when the British actor, who played the lantern-jawed vampire Edward Cullen, appeared on the screen, while the boys swooned over the ‘Bella’ of their dreams, Kristen Stewart.

The Twilight movies raked in over $3 billion at the box office. Breaking Dawn Part 2 was the last film in the Twilight franchise, but if you thought you had seen the end of it, you are sadly mistaken.

A bizarre Twilight scene that never made it into the original film is going viral after “haunting” a fan on TikTok.

Screenwriter Alanna Bennett was re-watching the extended edition of the 2008 film and felt compelled to share the clip featuring Stewart and Pattinson.

“I know why everybody says that Bella doesn’t have a personality and it’s because they left out this scene here,” Bennett can be heard saying in the video before playing the scene for her followers.

The scene in question shows Bella holding a rainstick and explaining to Edward how she used to make her own version of the musical instrument with her mother when she was younger filled with "chinchilla’s droppings”.

“Maybe that’s weird,” she says as she puts the rainstick back on the shelf.

The camera cuts to Edward who, clearly weirded out by the admission, awkwardly raises his eyebrows.

The odd exchange, which was absent from the original cut of the film, has left some people surprised with many failing to believe it was actually filmed.

“I am NEVER GETTING OVER THIS,” one person replied, with another adding: “This cannot be real.”

“Nothing could have prepared me,” a fan of the film wrote as another joked: “Her character arc feels complete now.”
