Jennifer Aniston urges her fans to wear face masks amid coronavirus pandemic

On Sunday, the Morning Show star shared a series of photos on her Instagram, including one of herself and Friends co-star Courteney Cox wearing matching blue face coverings.
However, it was her first upload that captured the attention of her followers, as Aniston shared a heartbreaking image of her friend hooked up to a ventilator in hospital with Covid-19.
“This is our friend Kevin. Perfectly healthy, not one underlying health issue. This is Covid. This is real,” Aniston wrote in the caption.

“We can't be so naive to think we can outrun this...if we want this to end, and we do, right? The one step we can take is PLEASE #wearadamnmask.”
The actor went on to urge people to think about those who have already suffered due to the virus, and to wear masks for the sake of themselves and their families.
“Covid affects all ages,” she wrote.
“Fortunately this photo was taken in early April. Thank god he has almost recovered now. Thank you all for your prayers.”
A number of celebrity commented on the post, including actor Rita Wilson, who has been sharing updates about her own recovery from the virus on social media alongside her husband, Tom Hanks.
“I’m so glad he’s ok. Wearing a mask is so easy,” Wilson wrote.
This is not the first time Aniston has stressed the importance of wearing a mask amid the pandemic.
On 30 June, the actor shared a photo on Instagram of herself wearing a face mask alongside a message urging fans to do the same.
“I understand masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable,” Aniston wrote.
“But don't you feel that it's worse that businesses are shutting down... jobs are being lost... health care workers are hitting absolute exhaustion. And so many lives have been taken by this virus because we aren't doing enough.”
Aniston went on to explain that she believes wearing face coverings has been made into a political issue.
“People seem worried about their 'rights being taken away' by being asked to wear a mask,” she wrote. “This simple and effective recommendation is being politicised at the expense of peoples' lives. And it really shouldn't be a debate.”
