Much-loved former “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston has won our hearts with her sweet gesture in these coronavirus times.
The actress, 51, appeared on the latest episode of the show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” via video link and surprised a nurse who has been diagnosed with coronavirus .
Utah-based cardiovascular nurse Kimball Fairbanks was provided with a gift certificate worth $10,000 (Dhs36, 730) by Aniston, so she would be able to order food deliveries during the pandemic.
Both Aniston and the show's host Jimmy Kimmel broke the news to the nurse.
The “Murder Mystery” star had a lot of gracious words for the surprised nurse, thanking her for being on the frontline and saving lives.
“Hi, honey, it’s so good to meet you,” said Aniston. “I just have to say, God bless you and all of you that are out there doing what you’re doing. I don’t even know how to express my gratitude to everything that you guys are doing, putting your health at risk and all of that. You’re just phenomenal.”
While on the programme, Aniston also talked about her own experiences with life under the coronavirus quarantine.
“Doing dishes is now my new favourite, favourite thing in the world,” she said, “because not only are you doing your dishes but you’re washing your hands.”
She also talked about her habit of organising her closets. “I was a crazy person the first week and then I realised I had to pull back because I was going to run out of closets. 30 more days - I’ve got to pace myself.”
Aniston was scheduled to appear in a much-anticipated “Friends” reunion special for HBO Max.
