Self-quarantines and lockdowns in the wake of coronavirus pandemic have given celebrities a lot of time in hand to try out different things they never had time for.

From Katrina Kaif to Kartik Aaryan to Malaika Arora to Nargis Fakhri, stars are making the best use of their self-quarantine period by doing fun indoor activities and helping out with some household chores.

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif shared a video on Instagram washing her utensils.

She has become quite an ace at dish-washing.

Katrina is seen imparting tips to fans on how to effectively wash dishes without wasting too much water.

"Since the house helps are also practising self-isolation, Izzy (Katrina's sister Isabelle) and I have decided to take turns to do the washing up. I thought I would do a little professional tutorial," the actress says, as she goes about with her dishwashing errand.

"First, I was deciding should I lather each bowl, rinse it and put it in the rack? Then I decided that there was a better way to do it. Put all the dishes inside the sink, and then turn off the water so that you don't waste it. Lather all of them and put them back here and then rinse them all," she says.

Kartik Aaryan’s sister Kritika captured him washing the utensils in the absence of their househelp. The actor took to the social media and shared a video of him washing utensils. He wore a white T-shirt and a beanie cap. He captioned the post, “Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki...”

Bollywood fashionista Malaika Arora was seen showing off some cooking skills as her cook is on leave due to the COVID-19 scare. The actress shared a video where it is mentioned that she loves cooking but hardly gets time because of her busy lifestyle. However, this self-isolation period gave her some time to cook some healthy and delicious 'Malabari veg stew for the soul'.

“I have got this recipe from mom @joycearora and a bit from my friend Maunika @cookinacurry who's a lovely cook. Everyone at home simply loves this stew and we are going to have it with some white rice and some delicious gluten-free, vegan chickpea bread that my friend Raveena @iamayogisattva made for me. M in for a lovely treat, I hope you too utilise this time to do something positive and healthy. Stay calm and stay safe! #stayhome#quarantine #covid_19”, she wrote.
