It’s good news for Katy Perry and legions of her fans!

The singer has revealed that she is expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

She is due to give birth this summer.

The Never Really Over singer sparked pregnancy rumours on Thursday, March 5, when she released the music video for her new single Never Worn White, off her upcoming fifth studio album.

In the music video, Perry wears a variety of elegant garments, including a white gown and a floral creation.

At the end of the short film, the 35-year-old is shown cradling a baby bump.

Following the music video’s release, the musician took part in an Instagram Live video with her 90.5m followers, in which she confirmed that she is pregnant.

“There’s a lot that’s happening this summer. Not only will I be giving birth, literally, and figuratively… to something you guys have been waiting for,” she said to the camera.

“I’m excited, we’re excited, and happy. It’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep. I thought I would tell you guys in the best way through a piece of music.”

At one point in the live video, Perry shared a close up of her pregnant stomach, before panning the camera back to her face and screaming in excitement.

Perry also opened up about strange food cravings, a phenomenon common among pregnant women. She disclosed that she “literally never cared for spice and now I have to carry Tabasco sauce in my purse.”

She also went on to discuss foods that she now found repulsive.

“Foods that gross me out now are beef,” she told fans. “I’m not really into red meat thank god for the Impossible Burger.”

Perry is engaged to Pirates of the Caribbean actor Orlando Bloom.

The couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 following a three-year on-off relationship.

Bloom, 43, has a 9-year-old son from his first marriage to model Miranda Kerr.

Several of Perry’s “KatyCats” expressed their excitement over the news and congratulated her.

“Katy Perry screaming about being pregnant is the same reaction that I had when I found out! Congratulations,” one person tweeted.

“KATY PERRY IS PREGNANT OM I’M CRYING,” another person wrote.
