Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor drew whoops of delight as she walked into the Sharjah book fair on Saturday.
The audience went berserk as Kapoor, clad in a scintillating Western outfit and high-heeled shoes, made her grand entrance, charming one and all at the venue in Expo Centre.

Kapoor told us how she loves reading books and how she would read her mother's book collections secretly, even as a child.
She was honest enough to mention how she felt films don't do justice to literary originals usually, but there were a few exceptions.
We asked her of all the different characters she has played, which one connected with her the most.
She took time to answer but she definitely was pleased to answer the question.
"I loved most characters I played that's why I readily played them in films. But if there is one that stands out to be the closest to how I am, I would say it would be the character of 'Mili' in Khoobsoorat," she said.
And we absolutely agree. Fearless, fun, different and someone who stands out of the crowd as being uniquely loved, the character of 'Mili' would be the one that matches that of the gorgeous diva the most.
Sonam Kapoor has done many films of which Neerja, Khoobsoorat, Mausam, Zoya Factor and Sanju were all big hits.
