HBO has publicly reacted to what appears to be a glaring error that resulted in a coffee cup’s surprise appearance in the latest episode of ‘Game of Thrones.’
The incongruous item appears in ‘The Last of the Starks,’ the fourth episode of the current eighth and final season.
Fans have shared their disbelief after spotting the item during the episode’s broadcast.
The official ‘Game of Thrones’ account reacted with a joke, making light of the incident while still referring to it as a mistake.
“News from Winterfell. The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake,” the message reads.
“Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”
The update is accompanied with a GIF of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) raising her glass.
Those who want to spot the now infamous coffee cup should carefully watch ‘The Last of the Starks’ and pay attention during the scene that sees the characters celebrate their victories after the Battle of Winterfell.
