Robert Pattinson may have signed up to star in the new film from Christopher Nolan, but he's only read the script once — and was locked in a room while doing so.
The British actor was recently confirmed to appear in the mysterious project alongside Elizabeth Debicki and 'BlacKkKlansman's' John David Washington. Sources have described the film as a "massive, innovative, action blockbuster."
Speaking to ‘USA Today,’ Pattinson revealed the lengths that Warner Bros is going to in order to prevent spoilers from leaking.
“I got locked in a room to read the script — I don’t have it myself,” Pattinson said. “I’ve been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but there’s just something about Chris Nolan’s stuff.
He seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale. I read the script and it’s unreal.”
The film will start production this summer. Pattinson's other forthcoming credits include horror film 'The Lighthouse' — a film whose shoot was so tough he "nearly punched" its director — and Netflix historical drama 'The King,' in which he'll appear alongside Timothée Chalamet.
Christopher Nolan's untitled new film will be released in July 2020.
