ROX has delivered its first 100 UAE-manufactured vehicles bearing the “Made in the Emirates” mark, marking a new stage in its local production operations and supporting the country’s efforts to expand advanced manufacturing in high-value sectors.
The vehicles, part of the UAE Signature Edition, were produced at the company’s AI Manufacturing Center in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD). The milestone reflects collaboration between ROX, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO).
Developed in six months, the facility brings together a Manufacturing Center, an AI Lab and a Design Studio. This combination supports the integration of production, design and advanced technology, while creating opportunities to develop industrial expertise and national capabilities.
The project is supported by MoIAT through the Make it in the Emirates initiative, in line with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, known as Operation 300bn. The strategy seeks to strengthen industrial competitiveness and resilience, accelerate technology adoption and increase industry’s contribution to the national economy.
His Excellency Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, Undersecretary of MoIAT, said: “ROX’s operations in Abu Dhabi bring together government enablers, investment, advanced manufacturing, technology and industrial infrastructure.”
He added: “The delivery of 100 vehicles bearing the Made in the Emirates mark carries strategic value, creating an opportunity to attract further high-quality investment, develop national capabilities, localize knowledge and build partnerships that drive growth, competitiveness and industrial resilience in the UAE, particularly amid global supply chain challenges.”
Al Nowais also highlighted efforts to strengthen local supply chains and build a diverse industrial base capable of competing locally and internationally, noting the mark’s credibility in global markets and its foundation in best-practice production standards.
ADIO’s partnership with ROX has supported the company’s establishment and expansion in Abu Dhabi, contributing to an automotive ecosystem spanning manufacturing, design, advanced technology, and research and development, in line with the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy.
Mohammad Ali Al Kamali, Chief Trade and Industry Officer at ADIO, said: “ROX’s journey in Abu Dhabi demonstrates how investment can translate into tangible industrial capabilities and opportunities for global growth.”
He highlighted Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure, connectivity and partnerships as advantages enabling manufacturers to establish and expand operations, strengthen value chains and compete globally from a single base.
Jarvis, Founder and CEO of ROX, said: “The delivery of our first UAE-manufactured vehicles is an important milestone in ROX’s long-term commitment to Abu Dhabi and the UAE. In a short period, we have established advanced manufacturing, AI and design capabilities that allow us to produce vehicles locally and serve customers across the region.”
He reaffirmed plans to expand manufacturing with partners, develop local capabilities and strengthen supply chains, establishing the UAE as a vehicle production base.
Each UAE Signature Edition luxury SUV carries the Made in the Emirates mark on its bodywork and follows a precise, numbered production process designed to meet regional market needs.
The delivery establishes a foundation for the next phase of operations, reinforcing efforts to increase locally manufactured products’ presence in markets.
Continued production at KEZAD is expected to support ROX’s regional expansion and the UAE’s advanced manufacturing base. The project also demonstrates how industrial investment can translate into domestic, value-added production, supported by logistics, infrastructure and institutional partnerships that enable companies to grow from Abu Dhabi into regional and international markets.
