ZAKH launches UAE’s first full-cycle solar manufacturing facility

ZAKH Renewable Energy and Engineering Manufacturing has officially launched the UAE’s first private full-cycle manufacturing facility dedicated to the production of solar panels and Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), marking a significant milestone for the country’s renewable energy and advanced industrial sectors.

Located in the RAKEZ Free Zone in Ras Al Khaimah, the manufacturing complex brings together solar engineering, industrial production, and architectural integration within a single platform. The facility further supports Ras Al Khaimah’s growing position as one of the region’s fastest-growing hubs for manufacturing, logistics, and sustainable industrial development.

FAERS is the flagship solar technology brand manufactured by ZAKH Renewable Energy and Engineering Manufacturing. The brand specializes in high-efficiency solar panels and advanced BIPV solutions designed to serve commercial, governmental, industrial, and private-sector projects.

DEWA-Approved Production and Solar Panels

Importantly, both the company’s production and its solar panels are approved by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), reinforcing the company’s position within the UAE’s solar energy sector and supporting the deployment of its locally manufactured solar solutions in the market.

The facility operates as a fully integrated production ecosystem covering the entire process - from research and engineering to customization and manufacturing, followed by installation and commissioning. The project also incorporates locally sourced UAE materials and components, supporting domestic supply chains and contributing to the continued development of the country’s clean-tech manufacturing ecosystem.

Designed for High-Temperature and Desert Environments

Originally established in 2017 as an R&D laboratory in Azerbaijan focused on improving solar panel performance in extreme climates, FAERS has since evolved into an industrial-scale manufacturer delivering photovoltaic technologies specifically adapted for high-temperature and desert environments.

The FAERS portfolio includes solar panels ranging from 400W to 750W, alongside next-generation BIPV façade systems that integrate renewable energy generation directly into architectural design.

One of the company’s key differentiators is its custom BIPV façade technology. FAERS develops fully personalized photovoltaic solutions tailored to the architectural vision and requirements of each project, including unique shapes, dimensions, colors, textures, printed designs, and image-integrated surfaces.

Production Capacity Set to Reach 600 MW in 2026

In 2026, the facility’s production capacity is expected to reach 600 MW of solar panels annually, alongside up to 500,000 square meters of BIPV façade solutions. The company’s future expansion plans target more than 1 GW of solar module production in the coming years.
