Naser Taher’s career in financial services has spanned more than three decades, taking him across international markets and into the rapidly developing world of digital assets. In 2026, that journey has been marked by two separate recognitions in the Middle East.
The Founder and Chairman of MultiBank Group was named by Forbes Middle East among its Top 100 CEOs 2026, an annual ranking that brings together business leaders from across major industries in the region. The list considers executives leading some of the Middle East’s most influential organisations, as well as their contribution to the development of the region’s corporate landscape.
The recognition comes 21 years after Taher established MultiBank Group in California in 2005. Since then, the financial derivatives institution has relocated its headquarters to Dubai, UAE, while developing an international presence spanning more than 100 countries and serving more than two million institutional and retail clients. It also holds licences from more than 18 financial regulators across five continents.
Taher was also recognised this year at the 9th Golden Excellence Awards 2026, where he received the Golden Excellence Award for FinTech, Digital Asset and Blockchain Excellence. The honour was presented by H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance & Coexistence, at a ceremony in Dubai.
The recognition also comes as MultiBank Group expands its presence in digital assets. Through mb.io, its cryptocurrency exchange regulated by Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, the Group has expanded into areas including cryptocurrency spot trading and real-world asset tokenisation.
Naser’s experience extends beyond the company he founded. His career has included heading development projects at the Irish Stock Exchange, as well as financial and advisory roles connected with organisations and government entities in China.
The two recognitions offer a snapshot of a career that has developed alongside significant changes in financial markets, from the expansion of internationally regulated financial services to the emergence of blockchain, tokenisation and digital assets as increasingly prominent areas of the industry.
