Oil prices rise as Brent climbs above $90 per barrel

Oil prices settled more than $1 higher on Friday, recording their biggest monthly gain since March, supported by developments in the Middle East.
Brent crude futures rose $1.09, or 1.2 per cent, to settle at $90.12 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures gained $1.08, or 1.3 per cent, to close at $84.67 a barrel.
For the month of July, Brent crude advanced 24 per cent, while WTI posted a 21 per cent gain.
