flydubai announced on Tuesday, during the Dubai Airshow 2025, the signing of an agreement with SpaceX to provide Starlink services on board its fleet.
This service will provide high-speed internet capable of providing live streaming, e-games, video calls, etc.
Under this agreement, Starlink will become the in-flight connectivity provider for flydubai's Boeing 737 fleet, with 100 aircraft to be completed by 2026.
This partnership will enable flydubai to provide high-speed in-flight connectivity across more than 100 destinations, enabling passengers to stay connected, productive and entertained from take-off to arrival.
“We are proud to bring the latest Starlink technology to our passengers,” said Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai. He added: “This agreement represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to elevate the travel experience and provide fast and reliable internet service across our growing network. Reliable connectivity has become critical, and our partnership with Starlink allows us to meet the changing expectations of our travellers today. As we continue to expand our fleet and network, innovation remains at the heart of our strategy.”
By providing the highest speeds and lowest latency available in commercial aviation today, passengers will be able to enjoy high-definition streaming and instant digital services simultaneously.
With Starlink services on board flydubai aircraft, the carrier joins a growing number of global airlines that are adopting the next generation of internet service on board their aircraft, which distinguishes it mainly in providing a world-class experience for travelers for both leisure and business.
