Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited Gitex Global 2025, the world’s largest technology and artificial intelligence exhibition being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre
During the visit, Sheikha Latifa was briefed on the latest technological innovations and digital solutions presented by exhibitors from around 180 countries. Sheikha Latifa praised the extensive efforts behind organising the global event, which celebrates its 45th edition this year. She noted that Gitex Global has strengthened its position as a key platform bringing together pioneers and leading institutions from the global technology industry, creating opportunities that advance innovation and enhance human wellbeing and progress.
Sheikha Latifa said: “Gitex Global is a testament to the leadership’s commitment to harnessing technology as a driver of sustainable growth and prosperity. The event underscores Dubai’s pivotal role in building partnerships and fostering collaboration among the world’s leading technology innovators and developers, while empowering startups to explore new growth opportunities. This reaffirms Dubai’s role as a key global partner in shaping a prosperous future that advances human development and enhances quality of life.”
She added: “Just as technology today permeates every aspect of daily life, it has also become a cornerstone for advancing cultural and creative development. With every new breakthrough, we witness new tools of expression and new ways for people to engage with art and knowledge. Integrating modern technologies into the cultural sector reshapes the concept of creativity, making it more inclusive, impactful and capable of reaching wider audiences. Investing in technology is an investment in the future of creativity — one that builds new bridges connecting creators with audiences and linking local cultures with their global counterparts.”
Sheikha Latifa toured several national and international pavilions participating in the 45th edition of Gitex Global, which brings together more than 6,800 technology companies and 2,000 startups from around the world. Sheikha Latifa further visited several leading international companies specialising in cybersecurity and digital asset protection, including CrowdStrike and Recorded Future, highlighting the importance of safeguarding the digital ecosystem as a vital enabler of modern life and a key foundation for all critical sectors.
AI in Criminal Justice: As part of its ongoing efforts in legislative and intellectual innovation, the UAE Public Prosecution organised a specialized panel discussion during its participation at “GITEX Global 2025” under the theme: “Ethical Governance Framework for Artificial Intelligence in Criminal Justice.”
The session explored institutional progress in adopting AI applications across the justice system, highlighting the transition from policies of use to the adoption of a structured ethical charter governing AI applications in judicial processes.
The panel held special importance in light of the rapid global advancement of AI technologies, and the growing need for ethical and legislative governance frameworks that ensure responsible and fair use of these technologies in areas of prosecution, investigation, and evidence while safeguarding justice from algorithmic bias.
Discussions focused on principles of transparency, accountability, and algorithmic fairness, while emphasising the essential role of humans within the legal loop to ensure that decisions generated by intelligent systems remain accountable, human-centered, and just. The session also featured international case studies and comparisons of global legal frameworks that balance innovation with the protection of fundamental rights.
Amira Al Wahshi, Project Manager at the UAE Public Prosecution and Governance of Emerging Technologies Summit (GETS) 2025 Project Manager affirmed that hosting such a session reflects the vision of the country’s wise leadership in building a human-centered digital justice system. She stressed that “artificial intelligence will never replace the human element, but rather serve as an enabler that enhances efficiency and strengthens justice within a framework of transparency and responsibility.”
Korea’s digital companies: At Gitex Global 2025 in Dubai, eight of South Korea’s most innovative digital content companies are showcasing groundbreaking technologies on the first day of the event. Their goal: to attract international investors, explore new partnerships, and demonstrate the nation’s leadership in the global digital transformation.
Under the supervision of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) — one of Korea’s leading governmental bodies — these companies have been carefully selected to represent the forefront of Korea’s AI-powered creativity and immersive content industries.
The K-Digital Contents Pavilion features the newest advances in extended reality, AI, and next-generation content creation. South Korea continues to assert its global position as a hub for digital innovation — merging AI, XR, Web3, and spatial computing into scalable business models that inspire collaboration across borders.
The 8 companies featured at the K-Digital Contents Pavilion are: dob Studio Inc, JL Standard, GLOBEPOINT, Toonimotion Corp, Stellarvision Inc, Studio EON, Flitto and DEEP IN SIGHT Co., Ltd.
Stellarvision: A leader in satellite data intelligence, specializing in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) analytics and AI-based earth observation. Its Stellar Space Hub SaaS platform integrates data from more than 300 satellites, offering search, purchase, and analysis capabilities in one interface.
The company’s proprietary features — including SAR-to-EO colorization and dark vessel detection — support defense, environmental monitoring, and disaster management applications, helping governments and enterprises make real-time data-driven decisions worldwide.
Flitto: A provider of domain-specific AI translation and language intelligence solutions, Flitto leverages massive language datasets to deliver hyper-personalized translations based on users’ speaking habits and word preferences.
With a vast multilingual data network, Flitto partners with enterprises to localize products, enhance machine translation accuracy, and improve cross-cultural communication — making it one of Asia’s fastest-growing AI language platforms.
Seagate Technology: At Gitex, we’re showcasing our Mozaic hardware technology and additional systems technology. We’re excited to present our advancements on our HAMR platforms. Our key partners in the region are Keyston, Asbis, and Reddington, so we have three primary distributors that cover the Middle East region, said Melyssa Banda, Senior Vice President of Storage Solutions & Services at Seagate Technology.
She added, “ In terms of challenges, we’re certainly seeing demand outpace supply, so our challenges with the growth of AI and the growth of data have really driven the need to continue to build out additional operational capacity as we look to scale our Mozaic technology.”
“We’re certainly seeing demand outpace supply, so our challenges with the growth of AI and the growth of data have really driven the need to continue to build out additional operational capacity as we look to scale our Mozaic technology.”
Melyssa Banda concluded, “At present, we don’t see an AI bubble. However, we do anticipate that the data growth will slow down but for the next few years, we’ll continue to see it accelerate as countries look to build sovereign data centers and build data closer to proximity, and towards the edge. You’re going to see a lot more emergence of on-prem data centers and on-prem storage. We’ll move beyond pure cloud deployment, so I see a lot of opportunities to continue to scale both AI infrastructure locally and in the cloud.”
Redington: Redington, the leading technology aggregator and innovation catalyst, returns to Gitex Global 2025 for the 12th consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to Unlock Next and drive digital transformation across markets.
Redington will transform its stand into a hub of innovation and collaboration, reinforcing its commitment to unlocking the next chapter of digital growth across the Middle East and Africa.

“This marks our 12th year at GITEX Global, and every year, it reminds us why this region leads with ambition,” said V.S. It’s where ideas become movements, and partnerships turn into progress. For us at Redington, it’s about standing alongside our partners as we shape what’s next, not just for business, but for the region’s digital future.”
“The Middle East and Africa are at a pivotal moment, with demand for cybersecurity, AI, software, and automation evolving faster than ever,” said Sayantan Dev, Global Head, Software Solutions Group, Redington Group.
