The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced the launch of a series of integrated digital projects and innovative technology initiatives during its participation in GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, within the UAE Government Pavilion. These projects reflect the national direction toward comprehensive digital transformation and aim to enhance integration across the sectors of energy, infrastructure, transport, housing, and services.
The Ministry also inaugurated the Global Energy Efficiency Alliance (GEEA) platform, one of the most prominent international initiatives aimed at strengthening collaboration among governments, institutions, and innovative companies in the fields of energy efficiency and sustainability. The platform leverages intelligent analytics to identify high-impact, pioneering projects that contribute to reducing emissions and improving resource efficiency, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global hub for leading the transition toward a low-carbon economy.
The Ministry also unveiled the National Green Certificates Programme (NGCP) platform, a national system for evaluating and certifying sustainable buildings using artificial intelligence technologies to measure energy and water efficiency and the quality of urban design. The program contributes to accelerating the adoption of green technologies and establishing national performance standards that enhance the UAE’s competitiveness in sustainable development and support its goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
As part of its efforts to enhance customer experience, the Ministry announced the launch of the Hybrid Customer Happiness Center model, which provides government services through a system that combines in-person attendance with virtual platforms via video communication technologies. The model is distinguished by its flexibility and inclusiveness, helps reduce emissions caused by transportation, and applies the five- and seven-star Customer Happiness Centre excellence standards, enhancing both the quality and sustainability of services.
During the event, the Ministry highlighted the Integrated Digital Government Services Centre in Fujairah, launched as a pioneering model for delivering government services in a comprehensive digital environment powered by artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and the metaverse. The center offers over 150 digital services to citizens and residents, serving more than 20,000 users annually, embodying the transformation toward a paperless and queue-free government.
Sharif Al Olama, Under-Secretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, affirmed that the new projects represent a quantum leap in the Ministry’s journey toward full digital transformation, and that they reflect the UAE’s vision of designing the future and driving positive change through initiatives rooted in innovation and advanced technologies, supporting the nation’s global competitiveness and leadership in energy, infrastructure, and smart services.
He said, "The Ministry continues to develop innovative solutions that align with the global shift toward a digital economy and support the UAE’s directions and sustainable development goals. We are working within an integrated approach that harnesses technology and innovation in service of sustainable development by creating future-ready digital platforms that connect data, policies, and services seamlessly.”
‘Digital Balance Programme’: In line with Dubai’s efforts to promote conscious technology use and enhance community wellbeing, Digital Dubai, in collaboration with the Community Development Authority, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, and the Dubai Health Authority, has launched the Digital Balance Programme; one of Digital Dubai’s strategic initiatives.
The programme aims to build a community that uses modern technologies positively and responsibly, capable of addressing behavioural, health, and social risks associated with excessive or negative technology use.
The agreement among the four entities was signed during GITEX Global 2025.
The programme seeks to enable individuals to use technology in a healthy and effective manner that preserves their wellbeing and enhances their quality of life.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai, said, "In the Government of Dubai, our areas of work may differ, but we are united by a shared purpose; to serve humanity. This initiative reflects our collective belief in the importance of maintaining a positive balance between technological advancement and the wellbeing of individuals and society."
‘Ask Data’ project: As part of its participation at GITEX Global 2025, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) unveiled its latest innovative ‘Ask Data’ project, which presents an exemplary model for embracing digital transformation and driving innovation using artificial intelligence.
Ask Data aims to support MoHRE employees, facilitate access to data, and enable informed decision-making in the labour market, which, in turn, establishes a framework to regulate labour and provide distinguished services to customers.
The AI-powered system offers the Ministry’s staff a set of advantages, including a seamless and interactive process to explore the Application Programming Interfaces (API) Catalogue, and the ability to inquire and receive immediate and accurate answers about available data across various integration interfaces and exchanged attributes, as well as about integration requirements and other technical information. Moreover, it allows them to explore over 100 electronic integrations with more than 60 federal, local, and private entities, facilitating access to data.
Reeham Al Mutawa, Data Management Director at MoHRE, said, "The ‘Ask Data’ project reflects the Ministry’s leadership and ongoing commitment to digital transformation in line with the UAE’s Digital Government vision and Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. It is a qualitative leap forward in how Ministry employees interact with digital integration data, enhancing operational efficiency and enabling faster, more precise, and more competitive service delivery-ultimately improving the internal user experience and reinforcing the Ministry’s aspirations for digital leadership.”
ADX Group unveils AI solutions: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Group, the second largest securities exchange in the Middle East, unveiled three new artificial intelligence (AI) solutions at GITEX, the world’s largest technology and startup exhibition, held in Dubai.
The new tools, the "AI Financial Insight”, the ”AI Court Order Agent”, and the ”TAMM for ADX Investors” leverage the latest AI technology to promote financial awareness, enhance market transparency, and strengthen financial inclusion across the UAE.
Each of these solutions reflects ADX’s commitment to supporting the Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025-2027, which envisions the emirate as the world’s first fully AI-native government by 2027. They were developed in partnership with key partners, including TAMM and the relevant judicial authorities, reflecting the Group’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration between federal and local authorities to deliver integrated, people-centric, and future-ready digital services.
Dr Mohamed Al Askar, Director-General of TAMM - the Department of Government Enablement, said, "Through strategic collaboration with our partners across the public and private sectors, we aim to expand the scope of AI-enabled services. TAMM currently offers more than 1,100 services on its unified and integrated platform, delivering a more seamless and efficient experience for users. With the introduction of ‘TAMM for ADX investors’, we continue to simplify life for all members of the community, including investors and entrepreneurs. Our goal is to leverage artificial intelligence and digital services to bring government services closer to every segment of society in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.”
Through the integration with TAMM, Abu Dhabi’s unified government services platform, more than 11 million citizens, residents, and businesses in the UAE now have access to the capital markets in the palm of their hands.
With only their Emirates ID and using UAE PASS for authentication, users can obtain a National Investor Number (NIN) that allows them to start trading, access their portfolios, check dividends, manage their profiles, and leverage real-time, AI-driven insights to make informed financial decisions. This innovation lowers barriers to market participation and reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a globally connected financial hub.

About new challenges, he said, “I think that when you look at the major challenges, there are lots of talks around AI and also talk about the different ways that AI can change our enterprises and governments and services. So, the finger right now is bringing that to reality, and the infrastructure is based on the divisions that are set up. How can we actually make it a reality and get value that is tangible from an enterprise perspective or a government perspective? That's the biggest challenge: how do we make it a reality?
