Sheikh Hamdan commends DIEZ's commercial growth

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, on Sunday said via the X platform, "We are pleased to share a record milestone achieved by the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ). Its free zones, the Dubai Airport Free Zone, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Dubai CommerCity, recorded trade transactions of over Dhs336 billion last year, a 19% increase from 2023. This growth raises DIEZ’s contribution to Dubai’s non-oil trade to 13.7% and reinforces its role as a major driver of the emirate’s economic expansion."

He continued, "This achievement highlights the visionary leadership of Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his determination to reinforce Dubai’s role as a global business hub, in line with the D33 Agenda."

Sheikh Hamdan also said "We are confident that the team headed by Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum will continue to deliver outstanding achievements by harnessing Dubai's economic dynamism and global growth potential."
