Italian entrepreneur and digital influencer Diego Granese has been granted the prestigious Golden Visa by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), recognizing his significant contributions to Dubai’s business and digital ecosystems.
Unlike many recipients who obtain this long-term residency through substantial investments, Granese was honored for his influential presence and active participation in promoting Dubai as a hub for entrepreneurs, professionals, athletes, influencers, and celebrities.
A Multifaceted Entrepreneur
Born in Vigevano, Italy, in 1990, Granese has established himself as a prominent figure in the international business arena. He is the founder of Billionize (formerly BILLIONAIRE DMCC), a Dubai-based consultancy specializing in business setup, international entrepreneurship, and tax advisory services.
His ventures span various industries, including the co-founding of El Original with Driss El Faria, which introduced innovative products like Aviva Wines (glitter-infused sparkling wines), Au Vodka, and branded beers for major football clubs such as Juventus, Milan, and Napoli.
Granese also launched Capitalist.it, a magazine targeting entrepreneurs and professionals, and co-developed Dan Ink Group with Steven Basalari—the first tattoo franchise network in Europe. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in establishing Fitup Europe, now operating 50 large-scale fitness centers across Italy.
Recognition Beyond Investment
The UAE’s Golden Visa is a 10-year residency permit awarded to individuals who have made exceptional contributions in various fields. Granese’s receipt of this visa underscores his impact as a digital influencer and entrepreneur, particularly through his social media platforms that have garnered millions of views promoting Dubai’s opportunities.
His recent induction as a premium member of Creators HQ, a content creator hub located in Dubai’s Emirates Towers, further highlights his influence. Supported by a $40.8 million fund announced by UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Creators HQ aims to attract and support global content creators.
Joining a Prestigious Circle
Granese joins the ranks of other notable Golden Visa recipients, including football legend Cristiano Ronaldo and fashion icon Giorgio Armani, who have been recognized for their contributions to sports and fashion, respectively. This accolade cements Granese’s status as a leading figure in Dubai’s dynamic entrepreneurial and digital sectors.
