For Quinn Emanuel, who already have 35 offices across 13 countries, opening in the UAE connects their international client base and positions them to leverage their experience in assisting the region’s top players.

Quinn explained how one of the challenges that comes with being such a dynamic and fast-growing economy is navigating complex legal challenges that accompany market expansion and growth. As an internationally renowned expert in disputes and litigation, arbitration, and government regulation problems, Quinn Emanuel is equipped to solve precisely these problems.

From joint venture disputes to long-term supply contracts and construction disputes, the firm has already established a solid reputation in the region, most notably representing the trustee in the bankruptcy of the NMC hospital chain. In the UAE, they will focus on local work in the ADMG and DIFC courts and outbound disputes situated worldwide.

When asked how Quinn Emanuel is positioned to respond to the key issues shaping the legal industry today, Quinn explained how issues arising from data (data breach, privacy, IP, and generative AI) are currently generating a considerable amount of claims and disputes globally. Climate change is also affecting everything from securities law to real estate law, insurance, and energy, as shareholders try to shape company policies on ESG issues.
