International businesses have hailed the now-running Abu Dhabi International Boat Show as a platform for global companies to expand into local and regional markets.

In statements to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the third day of the show, which is wrapping up tomorrow, Amber Luo, Managing Director of Sky Walker Yachts, a key yacht and boat rental company in Dubai, affirmed the importance the show holds for all companies operating in the sector, especially start-ups in this field, in order to develop and expand their businesses in the region.

"It also plays a major role in supporting the marine tourism sector in the capital by bringing together the leading international and local companies under one roof.”

Al Sarkal noted that Carter & White, as a national UAE company, always strives to participate in this important event, especially as it contributes to opening up new horizons for further cooperation with yacht and boat manufacturers.A record number of more than 700 companies specialised in the manufacturing of yachts, boats, fishing equipment and water sports are participating in the  Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, which  started on November 9 and wraps up tomorrow.

The exhibition saw the display and marketing of many yachts that run entirely on solar energy, an indication of the rapid development in the adoption of clean energy in the industry and the growing local and global interest in this type of yacht and boat.

Coinciding with the ‘Year of Sustainability', a sustainability platform has been launched for the first time at this year's edition of the exhibition with the participation of 28 international organisations and companies from 14 countries.
