Dr Bu Abdullah, a prominent business figure, was honored as the distinguished guest at the CBCCI TradeExpo 2023 opening ceremony in Dhaka. The event, held at the Intercontinental Hotel, brought together esteemed dignitaries and industry leaders.

The inauguration was graced by the presence of Dr. A K Abdul Momen, Member of Parliament and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh, as the esteemed Chief Guest. Mr. Tipu Munshi, Minister of Commerce, Bangladesh, held the title of Chief Guest, while Dr. Lilli Nicolls, the High Commissioner for Canada, Bangladesh, attended as a Special Guest.

The opening ceremony featured captivating performances by renowned Bangladeshi artists, including Ankhi Alamgir, a celebrated singer and actress. Ankhi Alamgir's exceptional talent was acknowledged with the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Child Artist.

During his visit, Dr. Bu Abdullah had the privilege of meeting Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, a prominent Bangladeshi Member of Parliament and a member of the standing committee of the Bangladesh Awami League party. Sheikh Selim, the nephew of former President Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, represents a constituency in the Gopalganj district.

Dr. Bu Abdullah also had a notable encounter at a religious madrasa in Dhaka, where he met Ghulam Maula Naqshbandi, the esteemed head of the religious affairs sub-committee of the ruling Awami League. The madrasa plays a vital role in promoting the study and understanding of the Holy Quran, emphasizing memorization, Tajweed, and various modes of Qur'anic recitation. It also fosters communication with societal institutions and provides educational and consultative services related to the Holy Quran.
