The UAE is Australia’s largest trade and investment partner in the Middle East. With $6.8 billion in two-way trade in 2020 (over $10 billion pre-COVID), the UAE is Australia’s 19th largest export market globally for goods and services.

The economic relations between both countries are based on solid foundations of trade and investment cooperation, as the volume of non-oil trade exchange between the two countries during 2016-2020 amounted to about US$15.7 billion, while the value of mutual investments between the two countries since 2003 exceeded US$5 billion.

Burzin Nanavatti, Director of FBP International told Gulf Today that the world is slowly but steadily recovering from the aftermath of the global pandemic however Australia is a bacon of hope and immigration radar for UAE residents.
