Al Dhafra Region has a great diverse potential for tourism and abounds with many important activities and receives an increasing number of local and foreign visitors annually.

Now with the travel restrictions open we expect a wider audience with the assistance from local government tourism authorities; who is making immense efforts to promote the Al Dhafra Region.

The National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels primary objective is to promote Abu Dhabi as an international destination, supervise and manage hotels and provide transportation and catering services.

This was revealed by Manoj Kanwal, General Manager, Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna, during an exclusive interview with Gulf Today.

“As of now we are maintaining an occupancy of above 80 per cent; mainly coming from corporate and staycations sector.

“We see a trend of gradual increase in business with opening of both local and international markets after the worst Covid-19 pandemic.” He added.

Kanwal, a seasoned hotelier, mentioned that they were always keen to tap new markets, adding that their major feeder market is from UAE [Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Northern Emirates], GCC, European and Russian market to name a few, especially for staycation and vacation deals.

To a question about the participation in the upcoming Arabian Travel Market (ATM 2023) in Dubai, Kanwal echoed that they would be participating at the event along with their other sister properties
