Enoc Group, the Official Integrated Energy Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, has announced it welcomed approximately 60,000  visitors at its state-of-the-art pavilion offering a unique, immersive experience in line with its theme to ‘Reimagine Energy’ in the first 60 days of Expo 2020 Dubai.

The pavilion, providing a strategic platform to facilitate business collaborations, received delegates from the French and American pavilions.

Aligning with Expo 2020 Dubai’s theme, ‘Connecting minds, creating the future’, and organisation’s partnership philosophy, the Enoc pavilion features ‘The Hive’, a dedicated space for stakeholders to engage in finding solutions to the industry’s unanswered questions.

The Group also hosted over 500 students from across 24 different schools in the UAE to inspire the next generation through showcasing the role of energy in the past, present and future. Students ranging from KG1 up until Grade 11 visited the pavilion so far to view energy through the lens of personal connection whilst gaining inspiring insights on partnering to shape the future of energy.

During the 50th Jubilee celebrations from December 2-4, Enoc received members from 26 international delegations including, The Vatican, Brazil, Finland, Paraguay, and Jamaica.

The Enoc pavilion also received international delegations from Japan, Uganda, Somalia and Colombia.

To date, the world’s first LEED platinum certified Service Station of the Future at the site supported the logistical needs of Expo 2020’s Dubai fleet.

Enoc Group’s pavilion will be open from 10AM to 10PM throughout the Expo 2020 Dubai period, taking visitors on a journey that explains the role of energy.

Russian Pavilion: As part of the business programme of the Russia Pavilion the forum “Russia: future education” took place on the 15th and the 16th of December at the Russia Pavilion, Expo 2020.

The forum welcomed representatives of Russian leading educational institutions, heads of government departments and companies in the field of digital technologies.

The panel sessions were attended by Vadim Lobov, President of the Synergy Corporation, Ben Nelson, Chairman and CEO of Minerva project, Alexander Raginia, CEO of Synergy Business School, Shalini Hemka, Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of E2Exchange, Sergey Myasoyedov, President of Russian Association of Business Education, Evgeny Szhenov, Leading Expert of the Higher School of Economics and Scientific Director of the Expert-Analytical Center “Scientific and Educational Policy”, Dr. Christopher Abraham, CEO of Dubai campus and Sr. Vice President at the S P Jain School of Global Management, Andreas Schleicher, Head of the International Program PISA, Head of the OECD, Natalia Kiseleva, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Education and Science, Irina Ivashchenko, Deputy Director General of ANO Rosatom Corporate Academy and others.

Speakers discussed the global trends and digital transformation in education, the potential of interaction between the private and public sectors. The event provided a unique opportunity to find out about the best practices of leading Russian and international universities in attracting students through the development of online learning, the opening of international branches as well as networking and the creation of international educational programmes. The forum discussions focused on the relevance of the business education development and the world’s best education tactics under the constraints associated with COVID-19.

The business sessions were dedicated to the questions of «Global trends in education: What the education of the future in Russia and the world will be like», «Actual trends in the development of business education. Global competitiveness and export potential» «New trends in school education and professions of the future», «The role of additional education in the development of human resources». Alexander Raginia said: “Business education in Russia is mainly based on online platforms. The offline market has not been growing since 2016 and over the past year the growth of Business Education in Russia has increased by 200 percent.

The potential of online Business Education is much bigger than offline programmes. We can create any programme online, thereby making education accessible to everyone without the limits. Economically, it is more cost-effective and there is an opportunity to sell the product to a big audience”.

Sergey Myasoyedov stated: “The world economy is going through changes very quickly and we are trying to adapt to these changes. Our world has moved to a completely different environment. Business schools have a new mission now which is a social responsibility, communication with the society as a whole. This is a very important task for the business community around the world”. Olga Grishchenko took part in the discussion about professions of the future where she mentioned:

“We offer an education system which our potential clients will be ready to get. It is important to us that the education should be career-oriented and useful in the future. There is a demand for specialists in the market right now, especially in the creative field, because they do not require moving from country to country, but at the same time, a person can be present in the international market without traveling”.

Meanwhile, the varied Peruvian geography includes an immense Amazon, imposing snow-capped mountains, and a long coastline where the desert extends. In the northern part of the country, thousands of years ago, between the dunes and the rich sea of the Pacific an enigmatic civilization arose: the Mochica culture.

These masters of the desert were fierce warriors and stupendous engineers. They built canals to make the land fertile and raised adobe palaces, temples, and pyramids. The Mochica people also stood out for creating a large commercial network on the continent and for their wonderful ceramics. However, the most outstanding and surprising aspect of this culture was its exquisite goldwork.

The delicacy of the Mochica work with gold and other precious metals was highlighted by the surprising discovery of the tomb of the Lord of Sipán: just as the tomb of Tutankhamun allowed us to look closely at ancient Egypt, the discovery of the Lord of Sipán shocked the world for his abundant wealth and helped historians and archeologists to understand the importance of his reign. This discovery was considered one of the most famous archaeological finds of the twentieth century. The name Sipán comes from a site in a valley of the same name which was the central city for the Mochica people.

In the same way that the Mochica culture created an oasis in the middle of the Peruvian desert, the World Expo currently hosted by Dubai stands where there was only sand before. And just as part of Dubai’s identity lies in its traditional gold market, this precious metal was also central to the Mochica society, especially their ruling class, the warrior caste. In addition to ceramic and textile objects, more than two thousand pieces of gold and silver were found in the tomb. These ornaments and jewels of rank and power belonged to the Mochica ruler, the Lord of Sipán.

Now it is possible to visit the Peru Pavilion in Expo 2020 and learn more about one of the most important cultures in Peruvian and world history. From December 15 to January 30, 2022, it will be possible to see replicas of the Lord of Sipán’s jewels handcrafted by the descendants of the magnificent Mochica civilization that dominated northern Peru 1000 years before the rise of the Inca Empire.
