Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, on Wednesday inaugurated the second edition of the "Jewels of Emirates" show at Expot Centre Sharjah.

 

The jewellery brands exhibition held under the theme, "Glamour of Beauty," with the participation of over 100 local firms.

The event is being organised and hosted by the Expo Centre Sharjah, with the support of the Sharjah business body.

The event which is the first Emirati exhibition specialising in diamond, gold, silver jewellries, pearls and gemstones, luxury watches, perfumes, offers a unique platform for showcasing traditional and modern jewellries sets and the latest designs.

The show also includes a special section for famous brands local perfume and fragrance and Arab and international scents.

The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah toured the exhibition halls, where he visited the latest gold and jewellery collections.

Sheikh Abduallh Bin Salem also met exhibitors and national pavilion officials, who briefed him about the UAE’s gold industry.

During his visit to the event, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem was accompanied by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chief of the the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) as well as members of the chamber’s board of directors and other top dignitaries.

The “Jewels of Emirates” show was also attended by several government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of the gold and jewellery sector.

Sheikh Abdullah lauded the centre’s success for attracting many top local gold and jewellery brands and watch designers. He said that the importance of the event, which enables them to enhance their presence in local and regional markets.

The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah also lauded the efforts of the Sharjah business body and the Expo Centre to revitalise the exhibition industry and organise such state-of-the-art exhibition, which will boost Sharjah's position as a major city that leads the business industry in the region.

Sheikh Abdullah commended the visions and directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who support the emirate business sectors, attract investment and facilitate commercial movement.
