Sharjah Sustainable City (SSC), an eco-friendly community by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), has received the Real Estate Excellence Award for the year 2020 from the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Directorate (SRERD).

The Real Estate Excellence Award is an initiative by the Government of Sharjah to recognise outstanding achievements in the emirate’s real estate sector. The awards aim to support and develop the industry by encouraging excellence and creativity and stimulate activity and investment in this vital sector of Sharjah’s economy.

Commenting on the award, Yousif Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chief Executive Officer of Sharjah Sustainable City, said: “I am honoured to accept the Real Estate Excellent Award 2020 on behalf of Sharjah Sustainable City. We are proud to be recognised by the Government of Sharjah represented by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, and Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Directorate, for our efforts in pushing the boundaries of sustainable living from the heart of Sharjah. We remain focused on creating a community where we provide practical solutions related to food security, water and energy management, as well as natural resources conservation to serve residents and the planet for years to come.”

Developed by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority in partnership with Diamond Developers, Sharjah Sustainable City was presented with the award thanks to its commitment to meeting the highest standards of social, environmental, and economic sustainability.

The Real Estate Registration Department in Sharjah has announced recently the conclusion of its campaign, launched in cooperation with Sharjah’s District & Villages Affairs Department, to update landowners’ data in the real estate sector in various areas of Sharjah.

The campaign, which ran from March 28th to 29th May, targeted all real estate owners in Sharjah, including citizens, residents, and investors of various nationalities, and aimed to preserve the rights of landowners and to update their data.

Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi commended the success of the campaign and praised the great cooperation shown by the District & Villages Affairs Department represented by its chairman, Khamis bin Salem Al Suwaidi, and all its employees for their full cooperation, harnessing all the capabilities of the department, and for opening the doors of suburban councils in various areas to the landowners throughout the previous period, which at the end resulted in the success of the campaign.
