Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, has signed an agreement with International Free Zone Authority (IFZA).

Under this agreement, new and existing IFZA companies can work from DSO, boosting the flexibility of doing business in the UAE.

This agreement provides entrepreneurs and startups with opportunities to expand their businesses and cooperate with hundreds of technological companies, experts and startups based in Dubai Digital Park (DDP), Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus (Dtec), and DSOA headquarters.

Dr Mohammed Al Zarooni, Vice Chairman and CEO of DSOA, and Martin Pedersen, Chairman of IFZA signed the agreement in the presence of senior representatives from both parties.

Commenting on the agreement, Dr Mohammed Al Zarooni said: “As an integrated free zone technology park, Dubai Silicon Oasis serves as an open platform for conducting businesses and forging strategic partnerships with leading technological and advanced companies based in DSO.”

Al Zarooni added: “The agreement between the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority and International Free Zone Authority, is a gateway for companies from different industries registered with IFZA to work from DSO and benefit from the advanced infrastructure, modern facilities, and the countless opportunities it provides to the business sectors locally, regionally and globally.”

For his part Martin Pedersen said: “This step plays a vital role in the growth plans set by IFZA to accelerate its ambition to tap into the international markets. The logistical, industrial and commercial facilities available in Dubai, and in DSO in particular, will enhance our ability to attract global investments and serve local and global business communities.” Pedersen further stated that more details about the agreement will be announced later.

Last week Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), an integrated free zone technology park, and Hubb Global Group, an online search engine platform, celebrated today the opening of the Group’s global headquarters at Dubai Silicon Oasis.

Dr Juma Al Matrooshi, Deputy CEO of DSOA, officially inaugurated the new office along with Anastasia El Hage, founder and CEO of Hubb Global Group in the presence of senior officials from both entities.

Al Matrooshi said: “Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority continues to seek tech-focused companies with a creative edge and potential for large-scale expansion.

The high-tech park is an ideal destination for technology companies and startups, as well as a proof of concept for innovative pilot projects. Hubb Global Group has established itself as a promising all-in-one online platform and their move to DSO aligns with the strategic direction of the future of the company.

“DSO is keen to provide Hubb Global with the required advisory and networking support to widen its business services and customer portfolio.”

Hubb’s growth strategy aims to register 2.5 million companies under its umbrella in the first year of operations, whereas the platform registered 3.4 million companies in a record timeframe, and is set to grow to more than five million global companies by October 2021.

El Hage said: “This step is a significant opportunity for us to continue to raise awareness of Hubb and our related services through the opening of our new central base in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The new office opening will allow us to expand our reach and take full advantage of the opportunities available to us here in the region.”

While the platform is in full operation in 45 countries and in 12 different languages, Hubb Global Group holds regional offices in seven countries, including China, Italy, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Philippines.

The DSO-based offices serve as their global hub of operations and are a monumental milestone for the Hubb brand, which has witnessed flourishing levels of growth in the past 12 months. With an already substantial and growing international customer base, the headquarters’ establishment in DSO will enable Hubb Global to capitalise on the growing international and local network of businesses, while acting as the company’s central base of operations.

“Over the past 12 months, we have experienced unprecedented growth, with the vision to become the world’s undisputed leader in establishing direct connection between service providers and customers. DSO is a dedicated and preferred business hub that allows tech-based businesses to flourish. We are confident that our presence in DSO will allow us to further grow our business and access new markets unlike anywhere else in the region,” added El Hage.
