ACCI values packages allocated to Ajman’s economic sector

Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), has affirmed that the chain of incentive packages launched by the prudent leadership in the Emirate of Ajman to support the business sector, reflects the effective and exceptional dealing to ensure business continuity in light of the current repercussions.

“The third package of incentives that has been announced recently under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, came to reinforce all economic sectors in the emirate and to sustain the emirate’s efforts to support the private sector,” Al Muwaiji added.

He also praised the effective cooperation between all federal and local departments to facilitate business prosecutes for customers and to take advantage of the digital transformation of services to overcome the challenges that merchants and business owners may face.

“Thanks to the guidance and follow-up of a wise leadership that is keen to support systems of field and remote work, we have touched a professional dealing with the crises at all aspects and fields,” Al Muwaiji added.

For his part, Salem Al-Suwaidi, Director General of ACCI, explained that those diverse packages, which target all economic sectors, translate attention of wise leadership to reinforce the business community and spread optimism within the private sector establishments.

He pointed out that the third package included a number of incentives for the services offered by ACCI.

The establishments that are operating in “Hajj and Umrah trips organisation, exhibitions management and organisation, social events halls, massage centers and fitness clubs, nurseries, barbershops and beauty centers, entertainment, cinemas, sport parks and electronic games halls” in the Emirate of Ajman will be exempted from membership renewal fees and membership late charges from June 15 until end of 2020. Ajman Chamber calls on all its members to take advantage of the incentive packages, particularly the exemption from arrears of the membership renewal fee. The renewal application must be submitted before September 1, 2020 in order to benefit from the amnesty.

Furthermore, hotels and tourist establishments in the Emirate of Ajman will be also exempted from membership renewal fees from June 15 until end of the year, while the fees for issuing a certificate of origin has been reduced by 25 per cent for industrial establishments for the same period.

“The Ajman Chamber is keen to provide hassle-free electronic services for its members and customers,” Al Suwaidi added, noting that and all membership services are offered in the partnership with the Department of Economic Development.

He continued, “The Chamber preserves the communication with its members in the private sector to tackle all the challenges they face and to come up with effective recommendations in coordination with government departments to overcome all difficulties facing their business.”

Meanwhile earlier the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) signed a cooperation agreement with Orient Insurance Company with the aim of providing the “Awafi” health insurance programme, which is dedicated to members of Ajman Chamber from companies and factories.

The step comes within the plan adopted by the Ajman Chamber that aims to provide a variety of services for its members and to provide an attractive investment environment that ensures growth and sustainability of their business.

The agreement was signed remotely by Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber, and Omar Al Amin, Chairman of Orient Insurance Group, while the signing was witnessed by Naser Al Dhafri, Executive Director of Communication and Members Support Division at Ajman Chamber.
