Dubai Motor Show revs up with latest debuts, key innovations

The 15th edition of the Dubai International Motor Show, the Middle East’s premier automotive event, was opened by Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, on Tuesday. Touring the exhibition, Sheikh Ahmed welcomed the exhibitors of various leading companies of the world. He was briefed about the future of the automotive industry, the latest technology and the smart equipment adopted by the major auto companies in the world.

Throughout days of the exhibition, new models of innovative cars that are equipped with the latest smart technologies, autonomous cars and electrical cars unveiled for the first time during more than 40 major events for 90 companies participating in the exhibition.

He began his tour at the exhibition by visiting the platform of the UAE company “inkas” for the supply of armored cars.

Visitors to this year’s edition of the Dubai International Motor Show, will have first-hand experience of the global motoring industry, featuring era-defining technology, fully immersive VR/AR and some of the rarest cars, all coming together to create an electrifying five-day meet in the region’s motoring calendar.

 Nissan Middle East has returned to Dubai International Motor Show this year to showcase the brand’s automotive innovations and production cars that help move everyone to a safe, sustainable, and exciting world.

A leading automotive brand in the region, Nissan opened the event with the debut of the popular C-segment favourite, the all-new Nissan Sunny 2020. Combining an all-new dramatic and expressive exterior with a fresh new interior, the 2020 Sunny is complimented with brand-new features that include Nissan Intelligent Mobility and Nissan Safety Shield 360 that helps keep you safe and connects you to your world like never before.

Another exciting addition on display at the Dubai International Motor Show is the 2020 Nissan GT-R 50th Anniversary Edition. Since the birth of the GT-R in 1969, the iconic nameplate has become synonymous with excitement, high performance and unparalleled refinement. The 50th Anniversary version is now the embodiment of GT-R, enthralling people throughout the world and leaving a sterling record of glory in Japanese and global motorsports. The 2020 Nissan GT-R is available in five grade levels in the GCC: GT-R Premium, GT-R Track Edition, GT-R Black Edition, GT-R 50th Anniversary, and GT-R NISMO.

Two special Gazelle concepts make their exclusive debut on the Nissan Middle East stand; Gazelle Storm and Navara Gazelle Pick-Up.

The full Nissan range at the show includes the newly launched 2020 Patrol, special edition X-Trail X-tremer, 2019 Altima, 2019 Maxima, Nissan Patrol Falcon and Gazelle as well as the Nissan Kicks Dual Tone.

GMC revealed its boldest line up to date at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show. Featuring greater versatility, connectivity and the latest accessories and personalization offerings, the new GMC 2020 line-up proved to be real show-stoppers for visitors at the show.

The all-new re-designed GMC Sierra line-up is the boldest expression ever for GMC’s full-size pickup, underpinned by two models exclusively available for the region – the Sierra Elevation and AT4 regular cab trims.

Land Rover unveiled a new iteration of the iconic Range Rover, powered by the brand’s new six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine.

“From the outset we always intended Ingenium to be a full family. That is why we chose to engineer our own flexible engine architecture to meet our bespoke needs, allowing Jaguar Land Rover to adapt and stay ahead of changes in regulation and technology. This second wave of engines, with a Mild Hybrid 48V system and performance-boosting technologies, is engineered to be cleaner and more efficient than ever before,” said Nick Rogers, Executive Director of Product Engineering
