Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, in the presence of Engineer Mohammed Bin Majed, chairman of the organising committee, and Dr Rafael Santonja, president of the International Fitness and BodyBuilding Federation (IFBB), crowned the winners of Mr and Ms World Championship 2024.
The event was also attended by Ali Abdullah Bin Haidar, the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, and other dignitaries.
Egyptian athlete Ahmed Sayed Shaaban clinched the gold medal in the over 95kg category. Portugal’s Pedro Esteves won silver, while Ibrahim Mohammed Salem secured the bronze medal.
Shaaban achieved a rare global hat-trick after winning the championship in two previous editions also. Nigeria’s David Ndokuro Bodebi won the overall champion title and the gold medal in the bodybuilding category, marking the second consecutive year he has won gold.
Belarus’s Ilya Lukatevich took silver, and Russia’s Mikhail Diadyuk bagged the bronze medal.
In the classic physique category, Belgium’s Joseph Peter won the gold medal and the overall champion title, while France’s Maxime Ratier came in second and won the silver medal, and Angola’s Yuri Valentin won the bronze.
French athlete Thierry Bayala won the champion of champions’ title in the physique category, while Russian Ivan Zhekhov took the silver and Swedish Yuri Vasiniev won the bronze medal.
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the UAE Bodybuilding Federation, praised the exceptional efforts made by the organising committee of the championship, describing them as the reason behind the tournament’s distinctive success. He congratulated the top winners and wished them continued success in the future.
Engineer Mohammed Bin Majed, chairman of the organizing committee, expressed his great happiness with the success of the championship and described it as exceptional and distinguished in all aspects.
He appreciated the cooperation of both the IFBB and Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, which contributed to the success of the championship.
He also praised the efforts of the organising committee members and the working team, highlighting that their efforts were the reason for the joy experienced by everyone at the tournament, which completed its 24th edition.
