Impressed by the efforts of Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club during 2020, the Lloyd's Register has granted ISO certificates to the club for another year.
Lloyd's Register’s decision to extend the certificate came during the third comprehensive audit visit, in the presence of the representative of the company in the Middle East.
Fawaz Al Jqa, and the executive director of the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, Engineer Hanadi Al Kabouri, and the members of the strategic planning committee, Marwan Al Ali and Mahmoud Lotfi Shaban were present on the occasion.
The representative of the company praised the club's team members and their implementation of full quality principles in all departments, which reflected positively on the overall performance of the club and its results in light of the challenges of 2020.
Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Self Defense Sports Club, affirmed that maintaining the ISO certificate in integrated management, enhances our confidence to do more.
“This stems from the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who stresses that children should practice sports as a strong shield to face the societal and health challenges of the age," said Owais.
Owais also reiterated support to Sharjah Sports Council’s initiative of adopting the year 2021 as a year for quality in sports clubs. He also thanked the Sharjah Sports Council for its support to sporting activities and athletes in the emirate.
