Real concern

The fitness of Shubman Gill seems to have created a headache for our captain & coach, in selection of struggling KL Rahul, which is a real concern. His inclusion, that too replacing the centurion Sarfaraz Khan in the first Test at Bangalore, will be more hurting than dropping the out of form KL Rahul. However, such acts are not new to Indian cricket, as there have been cases, when even the captain of the first Test is made to carry water as 12th man in the next Test.

Incidentally, since Pant is not cent per cent fit, it could prove to be a blessing in disguise for KL Rahul.

Risking Rishab Pant on the eve of our tour Down Under is fraught with danger.
