Congratulations to Aryana Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner for winning the US Open trophy this year. Though their opponents were from USA, that too after a long gap, both of them failed to annex the title, which has been eluding them for decades. No doubt, Jessica Pegula fought gallantly till the end, but luck was not in her favour. In the second set she was leading 5-3, which she squandered away.
Hats off to the ever fighting Sabalenka, who won her first US Open title. At the same time, it was a real cake walk for Italian Jannik Sinner, who knocked out Taylor Fitz of USA
in straight sets. It seems that Fitz had lost his fighting power, as he should have been drained out after his five set Semi-final win over his friend and compatriot, Tiafoe. Well, the victory of Sabalanka and Sinner is an indication that the new Era in tennis is taking shape. Both of them were on a roll throughout this Tournament and richly deserved the US title.
