Now that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has effectively ‘chucked’ in the job he wants to be taken off the US Presidential ballot papers that he fought to be put on but it seems harder to get off than get on. Is this a political comedy or a tragedy or just a farce?

An athlete who decides not to compete in the championship finals because he knows there are faster runners will be ridiculed, not find many sponsors, and possibly be banned for unsportsmanlike behaviour.

Incidentally the F stands for Fitzgerald, my surname, but I and probably most of my relations are denying any connection or knowledge of him on our family tree.
