Donald Trump has asked judge Juan Merchan to release him from the gag order or at least his lawyers have but why?
His comments after leaving the court have often included phrases such as ‘corrupt’ and thus it is unlikely he will be praising the judge, the jury, their families or the legal system. If the gag order is removed, it will be a flood of outbursts that could endanger people involved with the case.
It would however remove his excuse of not being able to answer inconvenient questions on the basis of the gag order.
Maybe the gag should be a physical one rather than a legal one so his voice is silenced in at least one way.
