The Emirates Group deserves applause as Emirates produced a record Dhs10.1b profit in the first-half of the year 2023-24. The profit result shows the huge trust the airline’s family of passengers has in it (“Emirates records Dhs10.1b profit in first-half on strong travel demand,” Nov.9, Gulf Today website).
According to the report, the Emirates Group on Thursday announced its six-month financial results, reporting a 2023-24 half-year net profit of Dhs10.1 billion (US$2.7 billion), surpassing its record half-year profit of Dhs4.2 billion (US$1.2 billion) last year by 138%. The Group also reported an EBITDA of Dhs20.6 billion (US$5.6 billion), a significant improvement from Dhs15.3 billion (US$4.2 billion) during the same period last year, illustrating its strong operating profitability.
After the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s so difficult to get the projected financial targets in the travel industry, but the way the Emirates Group has maintained its powerful business strategy during the pandemic and after it got fruitful results in the shape of a record Dhs10.1b profit in first-half of the year is highly appreciable.
I would like to congratulate the Emirates Group and its team members who worked hard and achieved record half-year profit, offering world-class travel facilities to its guests.
