Golden moment

Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra has made India proud again as he clinched gold at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary on Monday. This remarkable achievement makes him the first Indian to ever win a gold medal at this prestigious event. This is amazing. The entire nation erupted with joy at the victory of the golden boy of Indian athletics. Social media was flooded with congratulatory messages. People from all walks of lives shared their happiness.

President Droupadi Murmu, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar appreciated his achievement. Bollywood celebs Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Vicky Kaushal, Malaika Arora, Abhishek Bachchan and Anushka Sharma were quick to share their happiness on social media. A number of stars from the Indian cricketing fraternity also hailed the javelin star for his historic win. Sachin Tendulkar, Ravi Shastri, Virendra Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Wasim Jaffer and Hardik Pandya showered congratulatory tributes on this young man.  Neeraj is a wonderful ambassador of the game also. The way he treats his opponents shows his class and discipline. He is a very humble guy and that’s his beauty. Neeraj had been training hard for months and months to make us proud. If we look at his journey, we feel inspired. Coming from a very small town Panipat in Haryana, Neeraj’s achievement is indeed extraordinary and infectious. He is just 25, and we hope he will bring many more laurels for us. Well done Neeraj.
