Glowing Sharjah

Sharjah Light Festival, one of the top luminous light shows in the United Arab Emirates, has started to attract millions of residents, visitors and tourists (“Sharjah Light Festival to woo visitors with amazing performances of international artists,” Feb.9, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in the presence of Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed, on Wednesday night, in front of the University City Hall, the launch of the activities of the 12th edition of the Sharjah Light Festival.

By the passing of each year, the Sharjah Light Festival, which lights a number of famous buildings, libraries, offices and beautiful mosques all around the Emirate of Sharjah, becomes the most popular public attraction that people wait anxiously to experience every year.

Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, delivered a speech in which he emphasised that the Sharjah Light Festival continues the path of excellence and innovation, through the continuous updating of the vision.

Hats off to the administration of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority for the great efforts that provide an opportunity to the residents, visitors and tourists from all over the world to take a trip to Sharjah and enjoy their free time with their families and be a part of the season of festivity.

I am sure this year’s Sharjah Light Festival will be more advanced and its programmes will be much worth watching.
