Within just 24 hours, a man in the Jordanian capital Amman brutally killed an elderly man and an elderly woman, but in two separate incidents. The crime greatly angered the Jordanian society, after a video of the murder crime had gone viral on the social media networks.
Social media users shared footage of a surveillance camera for the first crime in which the killer appeared while entering a shop, and then walked to the refrigerator to pick up two juice bottles, before he walked to the shopkeeper (the elderly man), and pretended to take out his wallet from the jacket he was wearing.
The shopkeeper was shocked and scared at seeing the killer taking out a gun that he was hiding in his jacket. He begged the killer not to kill him, but he ignored his begging and shot him three bullets before fleeing the place. The crime was witnessed by a young man who was standing next to the victim, but ran away as soon as he saw the gun, and was not harmed.
The security authorities in Amman circulated a picture of the killer, however, the next morning they discovered that he had committed another crime, killing an old woman in the same way, according to local media.
The security teams were able to arrest the killer, who was hiding Al-Rumaymeen area in possession of the weapon used in the two crimes.
The reasons that led the killer to commit such gruesome crimes are still unknown, as the Jordanian authorities have proceeded with interrogation of the killer to know the reason for committing the two murders and his relationship with the victims.
