On Wednesday morning, Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, chaired the Sharjah Media Council’s meeting at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah.
The meeting addressed the outcome of the council’s visit to South Korea, during which several agreements were signed between the council’s institutions and Korean media institutions, aiming to exchange experiences and information to develop media work using the latest technologies.
The meeting discussed a report from Sharjah Media City “Shams”, reviewing Shams’ business developments and future plans in terms of building facilities equipped with the latest technologies, that would attract global media institutions.
Sharjah Broadcasting Authority presented its report, covering 2024 new plans for expanding programmes, overseas participation, and intensifying efforts to cover more events across the emirate. The meeting discussed the Sharjah Government Media Bureau’s report, which dealt with several development projects and future plans.
