Iraqi child dies after falling into manhole south of Baghdad

An Iraqi child died on Wednesday evening after falling into a manhole in Dora area, south of the capital Baghdad. The Civil Defence said in a statement, “A child fell into a sewer hole and that he was provided with first aid and pulmonary resuscitation, but the effort was in vain.
The child passed away as a result of falling and suffocation with methane gas deep in the basin of a sewage hole.” “The accident occurred in Dora Mechanic in Baghdad,” the statement added.
