The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC) stressed the need of prior planning before traveling to perform Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan, advising pilgrims to register in “Nusuk” application, an official planning, booking and experience platform.
Nusuk helps travelers from all over the world easily organize their entire visit, from applying for an eVisa to booking hotels and flights.
The Ministry also called on pilgrims to follow the travel instructions provided on its website, and to review entry requirements and procedures, as well as making sure that validity of passport is not less than six months.
MOFAIC further urged the UAE citizens, who are intending to travel to register in the "Twajudi" service, through www.mofaic.gov.ae or via the Ministry’s smart application “UAEMOFAIC”.
"Twajudi" is a service provided by the Ministry to facilitate communication with UAE nationals abroad, assist them, and coordinate their repatriation in case of an emergency or crisis.
Moreover, the Ministry provides a 24/7 emergency phone number (0097180024) for UAE nationals abroad, so that they can communicate with it in emergency cases.
It also provides the service of issuing an electronic document in the event of loss, theft, damage or expiration of the Emirati passport, or in the event that a citizen got a newborn abroad, in order to be able to return to and enter the country.
