GCC residents are not allowed to enter UAE in 4 cases

The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Ports Security identified 4 cases which residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries holding an electronic visa or entry permit for a resident of the GCC countries from entering the UAE.

The authority affirmed that residents in any of the GCC countries must obtain an electronic visa to enter the UAE, before their travel, as the visa allows them to stay in the country for 30 days from the date of entry, with the ability to extend it once for a period of 30 days.

The digital government also clarified that the e-visa holders are prevented from entering the UAE in case the residency is expired or canceled, or in case the profession has been changed after the entry permit is issued.

The Authority pointed out that the validity of residency in the GCC state must be more than 3 months upon arrival at the ports of the UAE and the validity of the passport of the entry permit holder must be more than 3 months as well.
According to the authority, obtaining an electronic visa for foreigners residing in any of the other GCC countries is a prerequisite for entering the UAE.

The entry permit for GCC residents is applied for through the General Department of Residency for Foreign Affairs in Dubai, and the Federal Authority for Identity and Nationality, Customs and Ports Security.

The authority indicated that the electronic visa is sent to the e-mail registered in the application after the completion of processing in the event of approval, pointing out that no visit visa request will be approved for any family member or assisting groups for residents or companions of GCC citizens without the travel of the sponsor with them.
