Moped-riding thieves snatch woman bag drag her over pavement in Brooklyn

A woman was robbed by moped-riding thieves in Brooklyn that left her with serious injuries, according to New York Police.

The police said that the woman is recovering in hospital and is in stable condition.

Surveillance footage shows the culprits in moped snuck up to the woman and grabbed her purse.

The woman attempted to hold on to the bag but was dragged down the sidewalk, injuring her face and hand.

After dragging the victim, the culprits managed to escape with the purse in Brooklyn.

The incident took place on June 12 at 9:20 pm on 57th Street and 8th Avenue.

The police said the suspects forcibly removed a 41 year-old female victim's purse.

One suspect drove while the other clung to the woman's purse.

Police say the suspects got away with about $700.

The woman was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.

Police have put up a reward up to $3,500 for any information on the suspects.
