VIDEO: Lebanese woman shoots dog dead after it bites her daughter

The Lebanese authorities have opened an investigation into a video clip that shows a woman brutally killing a dog by shooting it with a rifle, in the Kamed El Luz area in the western Bekaa.

The video angered social media users, according to the Lebanese local media.

The video clip shows the voice of a person talking to the girl who shot the dog, who said: "We cut (we shot) the dog..."

Local media pointed out that "the perpetrator killed the dog in retaliation, after it bit her daughter about a month ago."

She added that the Environmental Public Prosecutor in the Bekaa had ordered "the arrest of the offender on charges of violating the animal welfare law, shooting in a populated area, and endangering a minor, her child who was with her."
