Dubai Shopping Festival opening fireworks add more fun than ever

With its festive season in full swing, the opening celebrations of the 27th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) has add more colours, lights and smiles on the faces of the visitors including the tourists gathered to watch a series of fireworks, entertainment and fun.

As many as 5,000 people took to Burj Park witnessed the opening celebrations of the 27th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival. 

Live performances from superstar Balqees Fathi, and award-winning artist Mohammed Hamaki, Augmented Reality stage integrations, a breathtaking Burj Khalifa light show, dancing fountains and performance artists wowed the crowd and set the tone for the 47-day citywide retail extravaganza which runs until Jan.30, 2022. 

Dubai Shopping Festival is the longest running event of its kind and has grown into a signature celebration for citizens, residents and visitors alike.

Featuring the ultimate retail therapy from a wide range of homegrown and global brands as well as live concerts, nightly shows, daily fireworks displays, outdoors markets, pop-up dining and more, the DSF experience offers something for everyone. 

The 27th edition of the world’s longest running retail festival will take place till Jan.30, 2022. Highlights will include unique shopping and dining experiences, festive and New Year’s celebrations for the whole family, classic shows, mega raffles and incredible cash prizes. And starting from Dec.27, 2021, daily surprises.

The DSF 2022 Calendar of Events was revealed during a media showcase at Infinity des Lumières, a unique immersive digital art experience, and the largest digital art venue in the GCC region, located at The Dubai Mall.

With three different shows rotating over the duration of DSF, set to the much-loved ‘Ya Salam Ya Dubai’ song by Rashed Al Majed and RedOne; the Expo 2020 anthem, ‘This is Our Time’ featuring Hussain Al Jassmi, Almas and Mayssa Karaa; and David Guetta’s global hit ‘Titanium’ featuring Sia; the DSF Drone Light Show will showcase mesmerising choreography and tell the story of the UAE’s past, present and future while incorporating Augmented Reality elements.

Back by popular demand, the second edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) Drone Light Show will return to Bluewaters, The Beach opposite JBR and the newly opened global attraction, Ain Dubai.  Running daily at 7:00pm and 9:30pm, the Middle East’s longest running Drone Light Show is an unmissable highlight of the season and this year will be complemented by the spectacular lighting show on Ain Dubai.
